【摘要】:ThisPart2ofIEC60825providesrequirementsandspecificguidanceforthesafeoperationandmaintenanceofopticalfibrecommunicationsystems(OFCS).Inthesesystemsopticalpowermaybeaccessibleoutsidetheconfinementsoftransmittingequipmentoratgreatdistancefromtheopticalsource.ThisPart2requirestheassessmentofhazardlevelsataccessiblelocationsasareplacementforclassificationaccordingtoIEC60825-1.Itappliestothecompleteinstalledend-to-endOFCS,includingitscomponentsandsubassembliesthatgenerateoramplifyopticalradiation.IndividualcomponentsandsubassembliesthataresoldonlytoOEMvendorsforincorporationintoacompleteinstalledend-to-endOFCSneednotbeassessedtothisstandard,sincethefinalOFCSshoulditselfbeassessedaccordingtothisstandard.NOTETheabovestatementisnotintendedtopreventmanufacturersofsuchcomponentsandsubassembliesfromusingthisstandardiftheywishtodoso,orarerequiredtodosobycontract.Thisstandarddoesnotapplytoopticalfibresystemsprimarilydesignedtotransmitopticalpowerforapplicationssuchasmaterialprocessingormedicaltreatment.Inadditiontothehazardsresultingfromlaserradiation,OFCSmayalsogiverisetootherhazards,suchasfire.ThisstandarddoesnotaddresssafetyissuesassociatedwithexplosionorfirewithrespecttoOFCSdeployedinexplosiveatmospheres.ThroughoutthispartofIEC60825,areferenceto'laser'istakentoincludelight-emittingdiodes(LEDs)andopticalamplifiers.TheobjectiveofthisPart2ofIEC60825isto:-protectpeoplefromopticalradiationresultingfromOFCS;-providerequirementsformanufacturers,installationorganizations,serviceorganizationsandoperatingorganizationsinordertoestablishproceduresandsupplyinformationsothatproperprecautionscanbeadopted;-ensureadequatewarningsareprovidedtoindividualsregardingthepotentialhazardsassociatedwithOFCSthroughtheuseofsigns,labelsandinstructions.AnnexAgivesamoredetailedrationaleforthispartofIEC60825.ThesafetyofanOFCSdependstoasignificantdegreeonthecharacteristicsoftheequipmentformingthatsystem.Dependingonthecharacteristicsoftheequipment,itmaybenecessarytomarksafetyrelevantinformationontheproductorincludeitwithintheinstructionsforuse.Whererequiredbythelevelofpotentialhazard,itplacestheresponsibilityforthesafedeploymentanduseofthesesystemsontheinstallerorend-user/operatingorganizationorboth.Thisstandardplacestheresponsibilityforadherencetosafetyinstructionsduringinstallationandserviceoperationsontheinstallationorganizationandserviceorganizationsasappropriate,andoperationandmaintenancefunctionsontheend-useroroperatingorganization.Itisrecognisedthattheuserofthisstandardmayfallintooneormoreoftheaforementionedcategoriesofmanufacturer,installationorganization,end-useroroperatingorganization.
